You might want to delete the downloadsV2.db3 in the data folder. It's really the only thing that gets written too when you exit (to set the file status and download order). This will wipe the download, failed and wish lists. I might delete downloads.db3 too while you're there.
If you start Newsbin, in the options pick "Open Data Folder". Then exit Newsbin, the newly opened folder is where the download database it.
