I received an email on 13th August with the header 'Usenet Monster is now Newshosting'..

Body of the email had no in-depth details of what had happened, no apology, nothing, just matter-of-fact explanation of the implications...

'Usenet Monster is now Newshosting. If you wish to continue with your Usenet Monster account as it's always been you don't need to change your payment info at all. Your account, billed amount, and billing information will all remain the same. If you wish to upgrade to a full Newshosting unlimited account for either .99/mo. or .99/yr. with a free Usenet browser please contact support at support.com.

There are a few changes that you may need to make to both your port settings and your headers. These changes are noted below.

Port Changes:
Supported Ports for Newshosting include:
standard ports: 119, 23, 25, 80, 3128
SSL ports: 443, 563

Header Changes:

Compared to Usenet Monster, Newshosting has an improved and renumbered article system - repa...............'

blah blah blah

I was able to login to newshosting ok using the usenetmonster credentials and checked all was working ok in NBPro.
All seemed ok until I learned today following a query about my rollover credit that I had built up in usenetmonster....

'The rollover gigs you accumulated with UsenetMonster will not transfer over to your account with Newshosting after your next billing cycle'

Great! The 1.2TB rollover that I had accumulated at usenetmonster after over 10 years of membership was just cancelled, poof, just like that. Tossers

Not a happy bunny.
