Authentication Failures

I just bought Newsbin Pro, and a subscription to Newshosting as it appeared to be the best option for my budget. I'm encountering a lot of Authentication Failures though, and I'm hoping somebody can help me out. The first thing I thought it might be is the connection limits. My subscription says it has a limit of 30 connections, so I set it to that. However when I was connected with 30, I was also getting lots of Max Connections Exceeded errors too. So for the moment I have that dropped down to 20. I thought by dropping it to 20 would also help with the Authentication problems but it didn't help. It's weird too, because I AM connecting, and I AM able to download binaries and stuff. So what gives? Why would I be failing the Authentications yet still be able to connect and download?

I'm not completely dumb about this kinda stuff, which is what really bothers me. I had a job doing Tier 2 tech support for Verizon's DSL services years ago, and I was the guy who helped other people out with this sort of thing. It should be pretty easy to figure out. I have the username/password I created, the server's address, and port number. What else could there be?

I emailed Newshosting's support, and got a reply telling me to just retype my username/password, but it didn't solve the problem. Any other ideas?
