SS and UE are a competing search tool and competing news downloader.
I find that a min-size filter gets rid of most of the spam and returns more of the meaningful results. I'd set it to just below the typical sizes of the files you normally download.
I'm working on adding support for showing information about the obfuscated posting formats that are becoming the norm.
