Perhaps just a colored circle on the Status Bar which indicates whether data is transferring (how about: green for Yes, red for No, yellow for less than Speed Limiter value).
Or even better…
Some years back (IIRC when I started using v.6) I made a post here (I can't find) pleading for the return of the Status Bar indicator of current transfer speed. (IIRC it was a realtime graph of the transfer speed for recent minutes, as background on the "Speed Progress" field. IIRC Quade shared that this wouldn't be easy to code in v.6.)
At the time I really just wanted to know (from across the room) whether my download list had completed. But now I want a data transfer indicator far more, because in the last year (despite trying everything to resolve this as suggested in other threads) I've found my download lists stall because of paused PARs (which may AutoPAR when I manually unpause them) and because of the queue stalling at incomplete filesets.
Again, at this point all I really wish for is to avoid so frequently needing to move next to my monitor to know whether transfer is occurring or not; I'd love to know from across the room whether the d/l queue requires me attention (as I've accepted that it often now does).
